Teresa, I just found about Steve's passing. I'm not sure if you remember me but I will never forget Steve and the highly competitive (putting it lightly) volleyball games at the Hillandale pool. Steve was such a great guy and we spent so many "Endless Summer" days, 1965-70, making forever memories. I am so sorry to hear about his passing and more recently your father's passing. I lived in Lewisville , NC for 23 years after retiring from the Air Force in 1998, and now live in Florida. [email protected]

Dear Spike- It's been almost one year since you passed. Part of me knows this and yet another part still hopes that this is a bad dream. I keep hoping you are just around the beltway in your office at L&B and that I will get a text from you about who will pick up Audrey. I miss you so much. You were such a one of a kind person. No one made me laugh more than you did. Laughter was the glue that kept our entire family together. Endowing our kids with phenomenal senses of humor was the best thing we ever did. I don't think any family loves to laugh as much as we do. You loved your family so much. You would and did anything for us. You flew to Miami and back in one day to bring Ricky his prescription. Even on the way to the cruise, when Audrey realized she left her phone in the car, you offered to go get it and book a new flight. No need or request was too big. You were devoted to us and we will always cherish you. I wish you hadn't left us so soon. But we will honor you every day by living our lives with the same devotion to each other that you showed to us. I hope you are proud of how we are doing. I'm clearly never going to be as organized as you were, but I'm trying to stay on top of things as much as possible and I think you would be pleasantly surprised by how I am handling finances, the kids needs, and the house. I've been very attentive to the dogs. I take then on walks, give them 2 treats/day and spend cuddle time with them. Most importantly, you would be so happy about our kids! Gina and Marc are happy. Gina is back working at Rachel's school! Ricky is about to graduate and still plans on law school. He and Mary are very happy together. Jack loves Mizzou and has made some great friends. He is persevering with journalism which is super challenging. Audrey would knock your socks off - she is a pom, writing for the GC newspaper, being featured in the yearbook and moved up at DCDC! I love you always.

To my brother, Steve: I will miss you forever. You were taken from us way too soon. I guess I'll never understand why. Right now, the pain and the sorrow is great. In time, it will ease, but I will never forget you.
