MALBURNE JEWETT PEABODY, JR. "Mal" (Age 67)  
Malburne Jewett Peabody, Jr. passed away on March 29, 2017 at Central Park Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Brandon, Florida after a lifelong struggle with a variety of medical issues. Beloved husband of Deborah G. Peabody (nee Hampers) of Riverview, FL, Mal was a lifelong fighter, known for his individualism, wry humor, and tenacity. He was the son of Anne H. Peabody of Falls Church, VA and her late husband, Mal Sr. He was the father of Jeanette E. Chapman of Charlottesville, VA and R. Alexander J. Peabody of High View, WV and stepfather to Danielle T. Jackson of Camp Zama, JP; Douglas C. Tupper of Kaiserslautern, GE; David D. Tupper of Miami, FL; and Diana T. Soule of Mumbai, IN. He was brother to A. Douglas Peabody of West Yarmouth, MA; Deborah A. Peabody of Falls Church, VA; and Jonathan F. Peabody of Chicago, IL.  Born in 1949 in Boston, MA, Mal lived most his life in Northern Virginia. He graduated from JEB Stuart High School in Falls Church, VA and The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg and found a career in the federal government serving stateside as well as overseas and eventually retiring as a department of defense project manager in 2005. He met and married the love of his life, Deborah, in 2000 and they soon retired to enjoy sunny Riverview, Florida together.  Mal loved his wife and family intensely and was always interested in family events and activities. And he was extremely fond of his many nieces, nephews and grandchildren, who called him Pop Pop Mal and always brought him joyful moments.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Mal's memory. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511.
