Miles Bethea Obituary
MILES BETHEA
Miles Bethea passed on May 17, 2017, at the age of 78, at home in Alexandria, VA. He was born on September 24, 1938 in Latta, SC. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Andrea Rae Bethea; seven children, Myles Kevin Bethea, Dawn Darr (Paul), Dale Bethea (LaMar), Rhomiel Bethea (Kieta), Gregory Stannard (Regina), Renaldo Stannard (Cynthia), Andre Hood (Theresa); nine grandchildren; five great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Miles is preceded in death by his parents, Exodus and Estelle Bethea; 10 brothers and sisters; three daughters, Gina, Dhea and Paulette; and two sons, Leroy and Michael. Miles served in the U.S. Army before dedicating 50 years working for American Trucking Associations. He and his wife also had other business ventures through the years. In retirement, Miles enjoyed spending time at his Florida home with his wife and service dog, Chance, boating, movie outings, TV time watching westerns and political shows, and chillaxing with close friends. The family will have a service at Fairfax Community Church in Fairfax, VA, on Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m. - reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association in his memory.
