Willie and Sue together were a wonderful pair. I mostly worked with Willie but it was clear that Susan was key to his life and created a foundation of love and confidence from which they both did great work.
I will always be grateful to Sue for putting up with my years of overworking Willie and keeping him away from home.
Much love to the family and all Sue and Willie's amazing friends.

Dear Brian and Beth: Sue lived so well. As you know, she was a great mom and a happy grandmother. And, she took excellent care of the love of her life: your dad.
She also was a thoughtful friend, and I have many wonderful memories of Willie and Sue stopping by or staying a few days in CT.,
She traveled, she read, she loved music, art and plays.
Her professional life was filled with so many students and - later on, she didn't retire. She mentored young teachers - including Brian and Beth.
So, I am sad to learn of her passing, but lucky and glad to have shared such fun as seeing Othello in the Berkshires; searching in VT to pay our respects to Robert Frost, and just hanging out over a good dinner.,
She made time for politics by serving on her local Democratic committee - we spent many hours talking about politics... btw ... real politics like education reform, health care, peace, and what candidates best exemplified our ideals.
Such a well lived life; a life we might all aspire to. While I am unable to get there to say good bye, I am certain you will ensure a fine farewell as she goes to Rest In Peace with Willie in the spot they picked.
