SUSANNE MARGUERITE HUMPHREY  (Age 74)  
On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, of Wheaton, MD. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Clifton Humphrey Sr., mother of Andrew Clifton Humphrey, Jr., grandmother of Andrew Clifton Humphrey III. Pioneer in computer information retrieval, database indexing and knowledge-based expert systems, a precursor to present-day online search engines, and co-author of "Databases: A Primer for Retrieving Information by Computer," 1986. Also survived by loving relatives and friends. Visitation in the chapel at Congressional Cemetery, 1801 E Street SE, Washington, DC, 10 a.m. ET Tuesday, January 15, where funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. ET with interment to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rothman Institute at Jefferson, Union of Concerned Scientists, and Center for Engineering Diversity and Outreach at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
