Corinne E. Walbring

Corinne E. Walbring, 91, of 2130 Harrison, 4B, formerly of 2050 Sycamore, died at 12:32 p.m. Friday (Sept. 25, 2009) in Good Samaritan Home. She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Ursa, a daughter of Louis and Effie Anderson Walbring. She graduated from Mendon High School in 1935. She had been employed by International Shoe Company for 23 1/2 years, and then worked at Gardner Denver for 18 1/2 years until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include four nieces, Janet Meyersick and her husband, Lowell, of Warsaw, Linda Nepote and her husband, Peter, of Vernon Hills, Sandra Cole of Galesburg, and Joann Shook of the Quad Cities; two nephews, Edwin and J. L. Plunkett of the Quad Cities, and several great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Tracey Armstrong. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
