Sheila Brown Obituary

Sheila Brown, 74, a longtime resident of South Dennis, passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2020 after a brief illness at Pleasant Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brewster. Born in Dorchester on July 11th, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Terry and Mary Fennessy. Sheila was raised in Broad Brook, CT. Sheila was a graduate of the Vesper George School of Art, Boston, as a creative and talented artist she spent the first part of her career as a graphic artist creating a pen and ink mural for the Sandwich Co Operative Bank, painted Christmas scenes for the Christmas Light Display at LaSalette Shrine in Attleboro for fourteen years, created pen and ink drawings of historic Cape Cod locations for the Christmas Tree Shops yearly calendar, painted a mural for Hospice VNA, Dennis. Sheila will always be remembered for her kind nature and adventurous spirit. She was a VNA Home Health Aide for over twentyone years, as well as a hospice volunteer and participated in delivering Meals on Wheels. Sheila had a deep love for Halloween and became known as "The Balloon Lady" in her neighborhood. She passed out balloons instead of candy, drawing large crowds to her home each year. Most of all, she will be missed for being a mom to her two sons Edward and Jeffery Brown. Her unconditional supportive love, positive spirit and loving energy will be appreciated and remembered forever by her family. Sheila is survived and will be deeply missed by her two sons, Edward Brown and his wife Paige of 68-3554 Waikoloa, HI. 96738 and Jeffrey Brown of 498 Elm Rd Walpole, MA. 02081; three grandsons, Cody, Christopher and Conner Brown; a great-granddaughter, Blakely Brown; five sisters, Deirdre Fennessy, Mill Valley, CA. Maura Reilly(Robert), Brewster, MA. Anita Landon(Dick), Santa Cruz, CA. Jean Fennessy(Jim), Kent Washington and Brenda Fennessy, Florence, MO. Sean Fennessy(Mary),Rockport, MA. She will also be fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces, Sylvan, Caitlyn, Rose, Daniel, Garrett, Lucy, Erin and Riley. She was predeceased by her mother Mary and Father Terry Fennessy; her brother, Mark Fennessy and nephew Ben Ryley. At this time, services have been omitted due to COVID 19. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
