Farish was my best friend and best man at my wedding on June 17, 1961. My Princeton roommate and dearest friend. I will remember him always for his intellect, his truth, his loyalty and his friendship. I send now my love and best wishes to Eleanor who has always been my friend

Seems odd to say i loved him but farish was My closest friend ever, my. Best nan and my Princeton roommate. We shared geology and fossiled together. He was a terrific guy and i miss him.

Remembering Farish from Columbia in 1970 as an anatomy instructor and sharing Roy Chapman Andrews stories upon hearing that his passion was paleontology. Sorry to lose him to Harvard and so glad to have known him.

Farish was my truest friend, my Princeton roommate and best man at my wedding. His soul was pure, his character and intentions perfect and his contributions everlasting.

Farish was our daughter's favorite professor at Harvard. She insisted that we go on a safari with him in 2011. We were so glad we did. Farish was not only a fantastic teacher, but he was kind to all of us, the guides and native Tanzanian's, and even the hyenas. Farish and Eleanor helped make it a trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much and we will never forget you.

Farish was a inspirational influence for a young man who had never seen a teacher who could simultaneously blend into a lecture his experience excavating fossils in the field, teaching Harvard medical students in the class and expounding upon literature in the anatomy lab. He remains one of the brightest points of light in my memory of Harvard Medical School.

How can we forget the day we met Farish in the Kruger National Park, sharing a beer and talking into the night against the backdrop of the roar of lions? How can we forget meeting Eleanor and the hospitality of the family when we first entered the US on Labor Day in 1967 and on subsequent visits to the North East? How can we forget how this great man would bring joy to those he touched. How can we forget………………..

Dr.Jenkins has been one of the best professors I have ever had. His energy and manner of teaching Human anatomy made a strong mark. I am grateful to have had the honor to be in his class. He will remain an inspirational figure in my heart! May his soul rest in eternal peace.
