Madeline Roach Obituary

Madeline T. (Hogan) Roach, 90, passed Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Home in Stoughton after a short illness, surrounded by her devoted family. She was the wife of the late Chief Paul J. Roach, Stoughton FD (Ret.). Born in Norwood, she was raised in Stoughton and educated at St. Marys School and Stoughton High School. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. In her free time, she loved a good game of UNO, reading, playing Bingo, traveling to Foxwoods and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Roach was the mother of Nancy M. Gregoire, Paul J. Roach, Deputy Fire Chief, Stoughton FD (Ret.), Jeanne F. Roach and Michael J. Roach and his wife Lisa all of Stoughton. She was the sister of Dorothy Follett of Stoughton, formerly of Foxboro, and the late Mary Allen and Geraldine Kelley. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and was predeceased by one grandson. Funeral held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, March 23, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday, March 22, from 5 - 8 p.m. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 p.m. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, Mals family has asked that memorial donations be made to the charity of ones choice.
