Maureen Barron Obituary

Maureen J. (Cronin) Barron, 51, of Henry St. died Wed. Dec. 7, 2011 at home after an illness. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Raymond E. Barron Jr.; a son, Raymond E. Barron III of Uxbridge; a daughter, Emily E. Barron of Uxbridge; her mother, Elizabeth A. "Betty" Cronin of Franklin; 2 brothers, George Cronin of Franklin, and Kevin Cronin of Rochester, MA; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Born in Boston on Feb. 10, 1960 she was daughter of the late Mortimer J. "Moe" Cronin, was raised in Franklin, and lived in Uxbridge 22 years. Maureen worked for Vendetti Motors as a school bus driver in Uxbridge for 12 years. She received Driver of the Year Award several years ago. Previously she worked as a receptionist for Caterpillar Co. in Milford and the Corning Class Co. in Medfield. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. She loved camping with her family and served as Activities Director for Holiday Acres Campground in N. Scituate, RI. A member of the Whitinsville Community Center she enjoyed working out and also played softball for the Vendetti Motor's softball team. She loved her job driving the kids to school on Bus 3 and will be remembered as a great mother and wife. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Donations in Maureen's memory may be made to Susan B.
