Susan-
So sorry to of your dad's passing He was a wonderful man. Always lit up when he saw you, always had a twinkle in his eye and a story on his lips. I know he adored you.
I am thinking of you -

I am very saddened to read of the death of my friend Mr.Orne. For several days now, I've noticed that the "Closed" sign was hanging on the door of his shop and wondered how come. For years, I would see him around town and most mornings opening his shop. As I passed by and beep and he would give me his familiar smile and wave...I am going to miss his trademark smile. His brother "Bud" was also my friend, two true and proud "Marbleheaders"! I want his family to know that I care...he was quite a guy!!

Sorry to hear of your father's passing. Enjoyed hanging with you guys when we were growing up. The passing of a father is a tough one. But no one can say he didnot have a great and full life.
His pride in his children (you guys) was always first in any talk I ever had with him over the years.
My memories of Ray and Stella are all good...miss them both.
Regards, Chet Blazak. Celebration FL

Peter and the family or Ray Orne,
Mike and I are so sorry to hear about your dad. Ray was a wonderful man; he was thoughtful caring, sincere, funny and there are not enough good adjectives to describe him. Ray and Stella made quite a couple for many years. When I lived in Bethlehem NH in 2000, they actually found me up there and came to see me. They also visited me in Maine when they would go skiing in Newfield ( I think that was it). I loved sitting with them down at Devereux Beach in the evening way back when. Those were the days. Ray is with the love of his life watching over their wonderful family.
Our prayers are with Orne family and the town of Marblehead who will miss this Icon.
