Alan Samolchuk Obituary

Alan M. Samolchuk, age 71 of Browns Mills died Wednesday March 12, 2014 at the Samaritan Hospice and Healthcare Inpatient Unit in Mt. Holly. Alan was born in Marblehead, MA and was a longtime resident of Browns Mills. He served 22 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1986 at the rank of Master Sergeant. He then began working for Buttonwood Hospital of Burlington County for another 22 years until retiring once again. He was an avid fan of all of the Boston sports teams and enjoyed collecting model trains. He was predeceased by his father Michael Samolchuk and his daughter Ranae Samolchuk. He is survived by his wife Linda (nee Chimenti) Samolchuk, his children; Mark Samolchuk (Megan), Terri Matthews (John), his grandchildren; Brian, Megan, Jen, Josh, Gabe, Chloe and Nora. He is also survived by his mother Carolyn Samolchuk, his siblings Paul Samolchuk (Madeline) and Mary Economou (Nick), and his nieces Katie Sadowski (Dan) and Christina Economou. Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Tuesday March 18, 2014 at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 10am-12noon.
