Six years have passed but the joyful memories remain. The smile, the laugh, the caring, and even the corny jokes made all of us so proud of our Carl. He was more than just a cousin Carl was a shining bright star at the top of the family tree.
I am sure he and Uncle Skip are still talking Red Sox up there.

My dad, Uncle Skip, loved Carl as he would a second son. Carl was such a fine person. Our family will always hold him so dear and be so proud to be a part of his life. The cousin ranks are so much the smaller with out his big heart in our midst. He will always live large in our thoughts and prayers.

Hard to believe its been 4 years, seems a lot less.
Met Carl ( and Sid) when they worked as I at Mack Trucks in Northern California.
Like for many others Carl made a lasting impression on me. With his personality and corny jokes how could you not love him.
My wife and I talk about him quite often.

January 5, 2016

I met Carl in the 70's when he moved to Ca. to work at Mack Trucks with his brother Sid. I like many others instantly was amazed at his knowledge of sports and of course his korny jokes. Always enjoyed his company and continued to keep in touch when he moved back to Plymouth. We always talked about the S.F. Giants and the Red Sox. Of course I wasn't happy about Pablo leaving for the Red Sox. He always wanted me to come out to see the Red Sox and In 2009 my wife, sister, brother in law and I came out. We attended a Red Sox game, Carl tok me on field before game and made me his "camera man" while he conducted his interviews. He also got us to the Patriots opening game at the end of our stay. I told him I'd take him to a Giants game but could only treat him to hot dogs.
He will be miss by many people, may we see him again when our time is up.

I got to be on CAP Sports for the "My Favorite Athlete" back in the early '90's. You have no idea what that did for my self-confidence. It was five or six seconds long, but I got to be on TV. Thank you so much. I will remember that for the rest of my life.

Carl and I shared many microphones , rides to and from games and many a story over the last few decades. He always had a cheerful word and was a valued resource of sports and South Shore information...

Whether it be on the side line or locker room ,press box or dugout.. Carl was always there for others . A true pioneer and Hall Of Fame type broadcaster who gave so much to his friends and his craft. I am truly humbled and proud to say Carl Pratt was my friend..!!!

Everyone in Plymouth knew Carl and if you were lucky enough to really know him you have a story to share. Carl's passion for life, his love of pranks and the joy he brought when he entered a room will be missed by a whole community. My family had the pleasure of knowing Carl for over 25 years and have many pranks and fun stories that he was part of as I'm sure many of you also have. We will treasure those

My dad often brought Carl to our home for dinner before they left for a game. He was always pleasant and polite. My dad thought very highly of Carl. Once when I was visiting my family in our hometown, after having moved to Connecticut after college, My dad proudly shared Carl's accomplishments in broadcasting with me. Carl gave a moving tribute at my dad's memorial service just over a year ago. My sisters and I are saddened by his loss. Sincere condolences for his wife and family.

I am so sad to hear this news and will really miss Carl. I just saw him from afar at the Milton Academy football game on Saturday and was trying to get to him to say hello but lost him in the crowd after the win. My husband and I considered him a friend and always admired how dedicated he was to his job and how much he cared about all the kids. My sons who both played football still watch their highlight tapes that Carl put together for them and it meant a lot to us that Carl would arrive early to games when our son was a senior to take still photos of him during the warmups. He will be greatly missed by our family and also all the families at Milton Academy.

I am deeply saddened to read of the passing of Carl Pratt. He did so much for so many people in this town and appeared so humble. He had such a zest for life and he never struck me as someone who took that for granted. He made everyone feel special. I was just an acquaintance but feel I lost a friend. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
