H. Jablonski Obituary

H. Frank Jablonski, life-long resident of Randolph, passed away on July 31, 2013 at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, the son of Polish immigrants, Frank graduated from Stetson High School in Randolph. He served in the NAVY during WWII on the USS Randolph. In 1954, Frank formed the York Construction Company in Randolph, a firm that has helped to change the face of Randolph from a rural town to a suburban bedroom and business community. Over the years, York Construction has built many housing units and buildings housing industrial firms and employing thousands of people, mostly in Randolph. The firm began building single family homes and duplexes and has grown into a real estate holdings firm with apartments, warehouses, commercial and office buildings and shopping centers. After all of his success, Frank never traded in his hammer for a ball point pen. His dress shoes were always spotted from construction sites where he would spend much of his time. Frank was also an active member of the Randolph community where he was a town meeting member, served on the municipal space needs and the rent control advisory committees, a director of the Randolph Cooperative Bank and donated time and resources to many local causes. He was a charter member of the Randolph ELKS and the belonged to the Lions Club, where he was named Lion of the year in 1981-82. Frank was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing, as well as traveling with his family. Frank is survived by his beloved wife Barbara F. (Hicks) Jablonski. Loving father of Barbara Anne Lenahan and her husband Bill of Randolph, Joyce M. Jablonski of Randolph, Bonnie J. Franklin of So. Easton and Lori E. Jablonski of Canton. Devoted brother of Pauline Boren of Randolph and the late John, Peter and Stanley Jablonski. Dear grandfather of Mark Duffy, William Lenahan and his wife Jennifer, Ryan Lenahan, Erin Lenahan and her fianc David McFarland and Jessica, Jake and Olivia Podgurski. Great-grandfather of Bridget, Declan and Brayden Lenahan. Frank will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Visiting hours were on Sunday, Aug. 4, from 4 | 8 p.m. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Our sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Jablonski. Always loved watching him drive around Presidential Acres in his big Mercedes. It was like a celebrity driving around the property he built, and made beautiful for so many people. May G-d watch over you, and your family forever.
