Edward Jablonski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. - Sterling Heights on Feb. 19, 2026.
Jablonski, Edward H. Jr., 77, February 17, 2026. Loving brother of Nancy (the late John McLean) Nuell, Kathleen James, and James (Janilee) Jablonski. Cherished uncle of Alan, Jeffrey, Bonnie, Rachel, Margaret, Brina, Catherine, and Benjamin.

Ed was born September 12, 1948 in Detroit, MI the son of the late Edward Sr. and Helen Jablonski. He grew up to become a proud Veteran of the United States Military, honorably serving his country in the United States Air Force. Ed was a devoted son and loving, protective brother, and was loved greatly by all who knew him. He loved sailing, fishing, skeet shooting, golf and pheasant hunting: a true Michigan man. One of his proudest accomplishments in life was building a sailboat with his father, showcasing his spirit for sailing. He was a devout Catholic. When he was young, he served as an altar boy at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in Detroit, MI and served for for many years as an usher at St. Clement Parish in Center Line, MI. He had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing in the St. Clement Choir and with his siblings when the opportunity arose. Ed was also a proud and active member in the Knights of Columbus.

Ed's family has requested that memorial contributions be made out to the American Red Cross. Ed was a regular blood donor and would have loved to know that donations were being made to their charity in his honor. www.redcross.org/donate/

Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, MI. There will be a Graveside Service Friday, May 1, 2026 at Resurrection Cemetery. Please share memories with the family at their online guestbook at WujekCalcaterra.com
