I remember Bob when he was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, c1961. He and a friend from Shreveport were visiting our neighbours near Inverness, Scotland. They were true gentlemen, friendly and entertaining. For some reason my parents allowed them to camp several nights in tiny cottage they had recently acquired. It was truly "off-grid", no amenities at all! One evening they nearly set fire to the place by attemping to light a kerosene lamp with methylated spirits! Happy days!

I worked with Bob in the late 1980s when he was a contract instructor for the Forum Corporation. He was such a nice man, incredibly friendly and always funny. I will never forget his wonderful selection of bow ties. RIP, Bob.

Bob, It was great spending time with you these last two years after your return to Boston. I shall not forget our trips to Wareham or to Cambridge to see the annual Hasty Pudding Show, which you wrote 50 years ago! I know that you are happily at peace seeing JHW and all the other old friends.

I was very sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I had the privilege of working with Bob for several years on sales training projects. I admired Bob's wit, teaching, and his ability to establish rapport with EVERYONE. My sincere sympathy to Bob's family.
