FEBEL, Maria
Age 86, of Kingsville passed away following a brief illness on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus. She had been a resident of Royal Oak Long Term Health Care facility for the past 6 years. She was born January 17, 1931 in Katy, in the former Yugoslavia. A homemaker, Mrs. Febel was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Kingsville. In addition to her parents, Wilhelm and Katarina Gutwein, she was preceded in death by her son Richard John Febel in 2006. Surviving are her husband Jack Febel, whom she married on October 6,1951 in Kingsville, a son, Peter Robert Febel of Burks Falls, On. and his wife Barabara and a daughter, Ingrid Smith of Warren Pennsylvania and her husband Thomas Fitzgerald. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren, and her sister Katie Gerstheimer and husband Jacob of Flushing, Michigan, brother Otto Gutwein and wife Leni of Kingsville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her nephew Michael Gutwein. Friends will be received at the First Lutheran Church, 27 Spruce St. N. Kingsville, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. A funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dusan Tillinger officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church in Kingsville or to a charity of choice.
