VAN EGMOND, Anthony "Tony" It is with great sadness that we announce that Tony, 74 years, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Windsor Regional Hospital - Metropolitan Campus in the presence of his beloved wife Mies. Loving father of Tony and Mary Van Egmond of LaSalle, Miriam and James Garnier of LaSalle, Monica and Bryan Thomas of Bragg Creek, Alberta, Tina Van Egmond of Toronto, Michael and Lori Van Egmond of Edmonton, Alberta, Trix and Russell Owen of London, Stephen and Shar Van Egmond of Toronto, and the late John Van Egmond (1971). Opa will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Sarah, Alyson & Valerie of Windsor, Kaitlyn, Alex & Andrea of LaSalle, Laura, Julie, Owen & Emily of Bragg Creek, Alberta, Rianna & Brent of Edmonton, Alberta and Forrest & Isaac of London.He is survived by three brothers and two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Tony was born in Holland, served in the Dutch Army in Indonesia, married and came to Canada in 1952. Tony was the proud owner of LaSalle Bowling Lanes for 31 years. He will be missed by many people in the community. Friends will be received at The DeMarco Funeral Home (LaSalle Chapel), 2130 Front Road, LaSalle 734-1448 on Tuesday, from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial Donations to Meals on Wheels would be appreciated.
