Dear Jason, and Carlo: My deepest sympathy and condolences in the loss of your "Nonna" who was very special to the both of you. We go back a long long time, and I can still hear Jason calling to my mother "Nonna",,,,the two of you were like my own children when you were always with Joey and Marilena....Remember all the good memories with your Nonna and keep them in your hearts.... Jason, Carlo and your mother, will be in my prayers.... With love Lina

To the Family of Maria Bombelli,
I did not know Maria, but when I heard of her untimely death, it broke my heart. Two years ago my mother-in-law was involved in the same kind of accident. The story of Maria and Mama are identical. Mama was an extremely traditional woman, she held tight to her European heritage. She lived a proud, fulfilling life, taking care of her 2 sons, and their families. She too was our matriarch, the glue that held our family together. Mama lost her husband just a few years before her death as well, and she was just starting to feel good about life again. Coming home from the grocery store after buying tea for a home visit with her priest, she was struck and killed in a senseless accident. My heart goes out to the family, this is by far the very worst way to lose a loved one, so tragic, so sudden, with words left unspoken.
Be strong for each other, and hold on to all those priceless gifts her love has given you. Honor her memory in what you do, and in how you live.

A wonderful woman Maria was. She will be missed. I will always remember what a kind and loving person she was. Someone who when she hugged you, you couldn't breathe for a second, but you could feel her love.
I am truly sorry for your loss.
Sofija.
