Naomi Clark Obituary

Clark, Naomi "Pete"

Naomi "Pete" Clark passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 in Placerville, California. She had resided in the area for the last twelve years. Naomi was born September 28, 1928 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frederick and Louise Krohn. She married Willis Clark on August 27, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. They remained happily married for nearly sixty-seven years.

Besides her family, the other two great loves in Naomi's life were knitting and horses. For more than ten years, she was instrumental in a project to provide hand-knitted sweaters to children on the Hard Rock Navajo reservation near Kykotsmovi, Arizona. Each Fall, she and her husband, Willis, would travel to the reservation to deliver between 150-200 sweaters to the children there. She also taught some of the Navajo women to knit. She never lost her love for horses and continued to ride well into her 80s.

She is survived by her husband Willis Clark and daughter Deborah (Clark) Borges, both of Somerset, CA; sister Virginia (Krohn) Undem, Billings, Montana; grandson Adam Shaney, Portland, OR; granddaughter Kendra (Shaney) Ramacher, Sparks, NV, and four great grandchildren.
