Tip and I were friends from junior high. Had many an adventure together. What a great friend. Lost touch when I left York in 1979. Saw him at a reunion party a few years back and caught up on life. God's peace to the family.

I worked at a local bank for many years and during that time I also worked with the legal community in York. One of my early remembrances was a fine man by the name of Himes. He had a young son by the name of Laurence ,Tip Himes who also became an attorney who I worked with for many years. He was honest trustworthy and loved changleges . He will be long remembered by all whoe knew him. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Tip, in 1983, when my wife, and I, bought a building lot from his real estate partnership. He handled that transaction, and several more, for my family through the next 20 years. I also worked closely with Tip as he represented the bank, I worked for, on many bank related transactions. Throughout all of our transactions, he was the consummate professional and a fine gentleman. Tip was a proud veteran and, as someone who had spent much time in the military, we shared many tales of our military service. Tip was a good friend, a mentor and my go-to lawyer any time I had a legal question. His great wit, laughter and charming smile will be missed by so many. My condolences to his family, and to all who came to know, love and respect this fine man.

Tip was a special friend who generously shared family history about the "Himes Mansion." It was through him that I was able to learn much about the house and family and preserve the legacy of the Himes family. May he rest in peace.

It was a joy and privilege to know Tip. Through his humor, wit, and talent for finding out what makes people tick, he taught me both to develop thick skin and also to retain a soft heart for others. He did this not out of obligation but because of his inherent personal generosity. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and wish his family peace in this time.

Tip was my boss for 16 years. He was ALWAYS kind and fair to me and to everyone else. They were some of the very best years of my life and I thank him for that. My heart goes out to Cindy and the "kids". He cared the most about you. I regret so very much that I will be out of town on Friday and will not be able to attend the viewing. I will be there in my heart.
