Paul C. Raub

Paul C. Raub, 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 12:30 a.m. at his residence. He was the husband of Charlotte Jean (Moore) Raub to whom he was married for 54 years. He graduated from Red Lion High School in 1944 and after serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII, he returned to Yale University and graduated in 1950. Upon graduation, he went to work for York Corrugating Co. where he worked until he retired as President and Chairman of the Board in 1989. He also served as director of the AAA of Southern Pennsylvania. He was also a member of the York Agricultural Society, B.P.O.E. Red Lion Lodge #1592, Free & Accepted Masons Red Lion Lodge #649, Zembo Shriners, St. Paul's U.M. Church as well as the Country Club of York. Golf and reading were his personal passions. Born in Red Lion on January 14, 1927, he was the son of the late Paul S. and Gladys M. (Kohler) Raub. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kerry R. Dwyer and husband Joe of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son, Kim P. Raub and wife Janice of Red Lion; two grandchildren, Kim P.C. Raub and wife Marion of Red Lion and Corinne A. (Raub) Hortman and husband Greg currently residing in Thailand; and one great-grandson, John C. Raub of Red Lion. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14th at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
