Dearest Theresa,
I just got your Christmas card and was totally shocked to see the message. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. I wish now that I was better about keeping in touch. Maybe this will bring me into the 21st century and get on facebook. If your kids ever need someone to talk to who has walked in their shoes please do not hesitate to get a hold of me. 301-854-0188.

How saddened we all are in hearing of David's passing. How inspired we are to hear, from the notes here, of his exceptional life. His faith, his family, his fatherhood, his leadership, his friendship, his mentoring, leave us in awe. Though it has been many years since we grew up with the Stickler family in Ebesburg, PA, they will always remain special in our collective hearts. They brought us through loss in our own family. We can only imagine the void that all of you feel. With love and gratitude from all of us. Rest in peace David.

Dave was friendly, caring, helpful, and inspired me to love the sport of lacrosse. I will never forget making this man proud when coming off the field with my head held high. You will be missed dearly by me, and I will make sure to honor your name in any future lacrosse game I play in college.

I had the privilege of working with David at NRG until I left in August. I knew he was extremely intelligent and driven and did a lot of great things for the company, and am not surprised at all to read about his community participation and his deep religious faith. I was so shocked to hear about his passing. With faith, we know we will see him again one day in Heaven, where I know his rewards are many. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time as you grieve the loss of his earthly presence.

I will never understand why God takes the best ones sooner. David brought me and my son back to Jesus when nobody else would... I can only imagine his family's pain, now that they are missing this precious DIAMOND of the Lord... I can't even begin to accept his death. The lord claimed his child too soon. Brokenhearted.
