Douglas A. Snyder
COATESVILLE
Douglas Alan Snyder, 56, formerly of Lancaster, fought his battle courageously for a year, but passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at Coatesville VA Medical Center.
Born in York, on December 18, 1959, Doug was the son of Larry C. and Barbara A. (Landis) Snyder.
Doug graduated from York Suburban High School in 1977. After graduation, he joined the Navy, for six years, working as an electronics technician. He taught electronics at YTI, after his years in the Navy. Doug was a Senior Field Engineer and IT/Computer Technician for many years, at MCI/WCOM, and later at Sechan Electronics. Doug enjoyed baseball, golfing, and bowling, in addition to going to the beach and doing crossword puzzles.
He is survived by sister, Sheryl Stottlemyer and husband, Barry of York; brother, Randall and wife, Dorothy Potter Snyder of North Carolina; sister, Lori and husband, Tom Miller of Maryland; two sons, Logan and Nicholas; a niece, Valerie Schindo; great-nephews, Cameron, Brayden and Quinton; and an aunt, Karen Gauthier and husband, Pete of Oregon. Doug was preceded in death by an uncle, Barry Landis.
Service and interment will be private.
