Jeffrey Woloson Obituary

WOLOSON, JEFFREY P. Sept. 20, 1961 to August 6, 2008 Jeff Woloson was born Jeffrey Silvers in San Diego on September 20, 1961. He is the most beloved son of Eleanor Silvers of La Mesa, and the beloved brother of Debbie Ramos of Chula Vista. He graduated from Grossmont High School in 1978 and went off to make his mark in the world. He settled in Florida for some years and then went around the world, to learn new things. Eventually he settled in Amsterdam, Holland, where he became an R.N. He provided in-home care to patients who were unable to care for themselves. He was also active in many causes that he strongly believed in, fighting for the rights of the oppressed. For 16 years he was happily married. His husband was Isaac Koole, who predeceased him by weeks. Services will be on Friday, August 15, 2008, in Amsterdam. He will be buried with Isaac. Our hearts are broken. We will love and miss him forever.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep by Clare Harner

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning´s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there.
I did not die.

It's been 6 months today since you left us, Jeff. I don't understand how that can be, but that's what the calendar says, so it must be so. I hope you know how bereft I am and how empty my life is without you.

I want to remember my friend Jeff today, his birthday. I hope he knows I am singing the birthday song for him. He'd most likely have a good laugh at the croaky rendition and ask me how many Marlboro's I had. Missing him, loving him and remembering him.
