Skip Jr. and Family - Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during your time of need. I am sorry that I can't be with you during this time. One of my best memories of Skip Sr. is one weekend we went up to the lake a day early, had a long night and ended up not having any of the essentials and then next day with Skip Sr. came up he took some of the guys out on the lake and tried to show us how to fish. One of the funniest things was Skip Sr. showing Deangelo what being up at the cabin was all about. I had a blast everytime we were together. I will always appreciated everything that Skip Sr. and Kathy did for us kids in the neighborhood. There was a time of two that Skip Sr. saved my butt. It will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with you family and if you need anything, please call.

Your are thought of by many of your friends here at work. I'm sorry I only recently got to know you and connected your husband with his awesome legacy as The BEST (as I've experienced at Mother's Day brunches) Chef at Southview!!!

Take care Kathy, May your faith guide you through this very sad time. And your children surround you with love.

Skip Jr. and Family,

I fondly remember all those summers at the cabin. Water skiing, warm weather, hanging out by the fire and most assuredly, the smell of great food in the air. Often, I would find myself talking to your Dad beside the grill. We shared many good times talking about those darn Vikings, the pesky Twins and of course, the ever elusive walleye’s hiding spot(s).
I always appreciated his(and Kathy's) hospitality, enjoyed his witty sense of humor and thought of him with the deepest respect.
Dennis Sr. had an quiet, subtle, nice way about him. A gentle soul yet a strong, caring family man and husband.
Skip, I consider it an honor to have known your Dad.
He will be missed.

With love, care and my deepest sympathy.

Aunt Kathy, Lisa, Skip, Shawn, and Andrew,
We love you guys so much and feel your pain. We have so many fun memories of Uncle Skip that we will hold in our hearts forever. We are so glad that he shared his love for fishing with so many people, I myself caught my first and only walleye fihing with him at the cabin. Later that night Grandma bought the fish from me for $6.00. I am so glad Skip will be by my dad. Thank you for this. All our love to you.

Longen Family,
Skip was a wonderful man. I will remember him for his wit and charm, in the times past from my childhood, where he was a part of our hunting crew. While he will be missed by all those whose lives he touched, He has gone now to a better place in Heaven. May your grief in loss be eased by wonderful memories and the knowledge that he now shares in life eternal.

Uncle Skip I am so glad to have many fun memories of you. Growing up visiting your cabin and fishing with you, the very loud Vikings games you and my dad would watch, all the pets I'd love to come stay overnight at Tuscarora and play with while eating your spaghetti, singing at EI church from the balcony, and dancing at weddings to name a few. You will be missed.

Kathy, Lisa, Skippy, Shawn, and Andrew...
May you find the peace and strength to carry through these toughest of times. I'm sure the holidays will forever be bitter sweet, yet I know you will all carry on and make Skip proud of each and everyone of you! Words cannot express true condolences and sympathy, yet thats all we seem to have at times. Only Skip was so strong as to be able to cook Thanksgiving dinner for hundreds at Southview CC, not eating a single piece of turkey, in order to come home and enjoy dinner with his family! And remember, no opening those Christmas gifts until Christmas Day, as that was always Skip's "tradition!" Peace always and hold the memories of Skip close to your heart, as he did the love for his entire family! God Bless you all in this time of need, and God's speed to Skip, as he reunites with his Mother, Father, and Brother in a better place!

I was very sad to hear about Uncle Skip, but you all are a very strong family and will get through this together. I remember growing up and fishing with uncle Skip on the first very old pontoon we had up there. He gave me my first fishing rod. I will miss seeing him up at the cabin. I am also very appreciative of him supporting me in hockey as well...I saw him at few of my games.
I love all of you, and we all know Uncle Skip is in heaven having the time of his life with Uncle Mike and his brother Bud.

Longen Family,

It has been a pleasure in my life so far to find a second family to my own. Your family especially Skip has provided a second home away from mine, and a cabin to enjoy great times. I will never forget the great meals, sports, and movie reviews I heard Skip discuss. I will also remember him through his family whom I will always love and support. Thank you Skip for allowing me into your family, and I will always remember you and the great things you did during your special life. Thank you for your support Skip, and I will always be there for Andrew and the rest of your family.

Kathy & Andrew and the rest of the family: We are so sorry for your loss, Skip was an exceptional and remarkable man. Sitting next to him watching our boys play hockey was an honor, all those snerks, and head shaking, and of course telling the refs off and how wrong they were, will always be wonderful memories. The times we shared on the journeys to all our hockey tourneys with the Wizards was special, but Skip made it even more special. WE are all so glad he became a special friend to all of us. I can't say enough for all the wonderful meals he shared with Daniel and tales told up at the cabin, those will always be remembered by all. We love you guys, and our hearts are with you during this sad time.

Aunt Kathy, Lisa, Skippy, Shawn and Andrew:
I am so very saddened over the loss of Uncle Skip. I have many fond memories which will always stay with me. Uncle Skip was an extremely talented chef, and I always looked forward to whatever he would be brining to Christmas. He was also a talented snow and ice carver. I will never forget the spectacular watermelon carving he did for my High School graduation party, no one else had anything like it!! I felt so lucky.

My memories, heart, prayers and deepest sympathies are with each of you. Love Always,
Lesley

Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Skip and I think about one of the last times that I seen him. He took Chari fishing at the lake and it made her day. She still talks about that day and how after words the fish was cooked and she said it was so good. I will miss him very much but I will have many good memories.
