Carolyn Conrad Shiplett

Carolyn Conrad Shiplett, 94, of Dunnellon, Florida went to be with her Lord on May 20, 2025. She was born on March 7, 1931 in English, Indiana to Howard and Dorthy Conrad. Carolyn was married to her beloved husband, Raymond Shiplett, a World War II veteran, who was her rock and best friend for over 54 years and preceded her passing in 2009. Carolyn is survived by her brother, William Conrad of Kansas City, KS and her son, Douglas Shiplett (and his wife Marilyn) and Michelle Hunt (and her husband Kevin), as well as grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Carolyn was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a wife, mother and homemaker committed to serving the needs of her family and making her home not only a refuge for family but a place where others could be served in the name of the Lord. She lived to share her faith in Christ and never met a stranger, as it was only minutes in conversation with anyone before she turned the meeting to an opportunity to give thanks to her Lord! She will be greatly missed but always reminded us "to be of good courage," and we would "rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8 ESV To God be the Glory!
