Cora Mitchell Obituary

In memory, I'll stay with you, Though distance takes my soul anew, in dreams, I'll visit, whisper low, and in your heart, my love will grow. So let us not say farewell in grief, but rather, "Until we meet again, dear friend, in relief." For in the realm of eternity, It's never goodbye but see you later. Cora Mae Mitchell was born on July 23, 1959, to the Late George Vincent Mitchell Sr, and Willie Mae Mitchell in Ocala, FL. Cora received her formal education at Alachua County School Board, Gainesville, FL. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early and was united with Willow Plant Missionary Baptist Church. Her passion was cooking, cleaning, dancing, and singing. "Time passes by as I cross the bridge. I am crossing over to the other side. His arm is pointing the way, His voice is telling me where to stay. His love is carrying me all the way." Cora Mae Mitchell departed this life on April 19, 2025. She was preceded in death by both her parents, George Vincent Mitchell Sr and Willie Mae Mitchell; her siblings, Jimmie Mitchell, Elizabeth Morrow, George Mitchell Jr, Hattie Turner, Eugene Mitchell Sr, Mary Mosely and Viola Mitchell. She leaves to cherish her memories, 4 siblings, Frenchie Gordon (Roger) of Hawthorne, Willie C. Mitchell Sr (Antoinette) of Citra, Frederick Mitchell Sr (Elaine) of Bradley and Patricia Mitchell (Leroy) of Tampa; 2 Sister-in-laws, Nora Mitchell of Citra, Fannie Mitchell of Fort Pierce; brother-in-law, James Turner Sr. of Citra; special niece and nephew/caregivers Regina Graham (Darren) of Ocala; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul.
