Hunter Parks Obituary
Hunter Blake Parks, 37, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on May 29, 2025.
Hunter entered the world on November 25, 1987, alongside his twin brother, Drew, born to Dean and Suzanne Parks of Ocala. He graduated from Florida College in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Though he didn't spend many years in the classroom, Hunter's love for children was undeniable. Countless kids from his family and his church family at Central Church of Christ, knew and adored him as "Uncle Hunter."
After college, Hunter spent time in Tampa, FL and Nashville, TN, where he built strong friendships and shared his light with many. In 2019, he returned to Ocala to be closer to two of the most important people in his life: his niece, Harper Parks, and nephew, Beckett Parks. To them, there was no one cooler. Whether it was a game, a graduation, or a family gathering, Uncle Hunter was there - always ending each visit with his signature, unforgettable bear hugs.
Hunter was known for his bold and colorful sense of fashion, his kind heart, his warm and infectious smile, and his delightfully sneaky sense of humor. He brought joy and laughter wherever he went.
In 2024, Hunter met the love of his life, Angela "Angie" Raimondo. From the start, their connection was undeniable. Those closest to him quickly saw how special they were together. Angie brought happiness and peace into his life, and for that, his family is deeply thankful.
Hunter was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Dean Parks, and his grandfather, Odell Willingham. He is survived by his mother, Suzanne Parks; his siblings, Drew Parks (Megan), Jeffrey Parks (Penny), Jennifer Fries (Brian), and Jodi Roos (Joe), his grandmother, Joyce Willingham, girlfriend Angela Raimondo and countless additional extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Appleton Museum of Art in Ocala, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to support his loving girlfriend Angie's journey to obtain a much-needed service dog. Contributions can be made at the following link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-angelas-journey-to-a-service-dog
