Jack Hollrah Obituary

Jack L. Hollrah, 84, of Marion County, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in his home in Ocala, Florida. Born October 08, 1940, in Washington County Indiana. He was the son of Philip and Margaret (Spaulding) Hollrah. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Jane (Barker) Hollrah, two sons, Curtis Barker Hollrah of Ocala Florida and Jack Ashley Hollrah of Allentown Pennsylvania, and one sister, Jane Smith of Huntington West Virginia. Jack graduated from Pekin High School (1958). He earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture economics (1963) and a master's degree in marketing (1965) from Purdue University. He met Elizabeth at Purdue and married her on August 7, 1966. They recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Jack's career in the food wholesale industry spanning 1968-1990 concluded as President of Certified Grocers of Florida from 1986-1990. He completed his career in the mining industry with Mid-Florida Mining from 1993-2012. After retirement he remained engaged in consulting for Conimar Group LLC from 2012-2022. He was a 32nd degree mason of the West Lafayette masonic lodge for 59 years. He was an active member of the local community as a Member of First Baptist Church of Ocala, Board member of Marion Community Hospital, and President of Porsche Club of America, Florida Thoroughbred Region. He was an avid race fan and sports car enthusiast. He also enjoyed sailing, alpine skiing, cycling and tennis. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 26th, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Ocala in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers please make donations "in memory of" Jack L.
