Janet Olszewski Obituary

Janet Olszewski passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at the age of 88 in Arden Courts in Easton, PA. Born in Bayonne, NJ in 1937, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Claire Reynolds. Janet was a nursing assistant and homemaker, raising 5 children with her first husband, Robert Flanagan. In later years, she was a banquet manager at the Abe Lincoln Hotel in Reading, and property manager at Cambridge Commons apartments in Wyomissing, PA. She and her second husband, Gene Olszewski, owned and operated Corolla Pizza in the Outer Banks before retiring to The Villages in Florida in 2007. She is survived by her children Robert Flanagan Jr. (Cess), Cheryl Gutleber (Dave), James Flanagan (Lisa), Kathleen Needles (Brad), and Meghan Filoon (Christiaan), 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters Nancy Perine, Susan Giuliano (Frank), and sister-in-law Lynne Reynolds. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Olszewski, ex-husband Robert Flanagan, her parents, and brother Clement Reynolds. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at The Gem and Keystone, 526 River Rd, Shawnee on Delaware, PA 18356. Donations may be made to Penn State THON to support childhood cancer research at https://donate.thon.org/
