Joan Smith Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Smith, who departed this world on September 26, 2025, in Ocala, Florida, at the age of 91. Born on August 21, 1934, in Springfield, Missouri, Hilda spent her life as a dedicated homemaker and teacher, enriching the lives of all who knew her. Joan was a woman of grace and warmth, known for her love of all things pink and her signature red lipstick, which she wore with undeniable flair. Her presence brought joy to those around her, whether it was through her nurturing care at home or the wisdom she shared in the classroom. As a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, Joan's legacy lives on through her family. She leaves behind her daughters, Trudy (Alan) Watford, Vicky (Greg) Rodgers, Wendy (Mike) Behar, and Susan (Nelson) Fernandez; her son, Mack (Becky) Smith; and a large extended family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory. Her family and friends will always remember her kindness, strength, and the love she bestowed upon them... but especially her smile and laugh. She will be missed greatly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
