Joanne M "Jo" Teixeira

Joanne Mary Teixeira (Clark), affectionately known as "Jo," passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025 at the age of 76. Born on February 13, 1949, in Amesbury, Massachusetts and residing most of her adult life in Florida. She is survived by her loving daughters Amy (Marty) and Alison (Brad), stepdaughter Cindy (Silver), her cherished grandchildren Marty, Mason, Ava, Cameron, Nick, Caden, and Taylor. Her siblings brother Arthur (Cathy), and sisters Patricia and Charlene, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joanne was predeceased by her husband Frank, parents Arther and Mary Clark, and her much-loved niece Andrea. A devoted mother and grandmother, Joanne's life was defined by her generosity, spirit, and love for family. She was deeply involved in her daughters' lives, serving as a Girl Scout leader and school volunteer, and later cheering on her grandchildren at every event-her presence in the stands made her their proudest fan. For many years Joanne was a dedicated homemaker before working as a Hallmark Card Display Associate, a role she enjoyed and took pride in. She was also a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 30 years, reflecting her deep love of country and respect for the American flag. She also loved her two favorite teams the Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Joanne found joy in simple pleasures-playing bingo, couponing, laughing with friends, and sharing her spunky, fun-loving spirit with everyone around her. To know Joanne was to be touched by her warmth, her laughter, and her unwavering positivity. A Celebration of Life will be held in February around her birthday. Her ashes will be laid to rest in the family plot in Merrimac, Massachusetts, at a later date. Joanne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
