John "Johnny" Cosimini

John "Johnny" Cosimini September 22, 1952 – August 22, 2025 John "Johnny" Cosimini, 72, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025. He was born on September 22, 1952, in DeLand, Florida, where he attended St. Peter's Catholic School from 1st through 8th grade and graduated from DeLand High School in 1971. Johnny dedicated 47 years of his life to Florida Power & Light at the Sanford Power Plant, where his leadership and commitment to his fellow workers led him to proudly serve as Union President of the local IBEW. His strong work ethic and unwavering advocacy left a lasting impact on all who worked alongside him. A man who cherished life's simple joys, Johnny found happiness in watching NASCAR and fishing shows, spending time with his parrots, hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Friend. Those who knew him will remember his quick wit, playful terms of endearment (Darlin') and that contagious smile that we will miss so much. Johnny's legacy is one of love, laughter, and devotion to both family and friends that became family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Garden Club of DeLand, 865 S Alabama Ave., DeLand, FL 32724.
