Jon Human Obituary
Jon David Human, known lovingly to his family and friends as David, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was a loving, kind-hearted, and hard-working husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His quick wit and sense of humor were hallmarks of his personality, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. Born on April 24, 1964, in San Diego, California, to Ben and Carol Human, David was raised as a proud Navy kid, moving frequently before his family ultimately settled in Orlando. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School and later became the devoted father of two daughters, Jessica and Marissa, with his first wife. David enjoyed taking his family on camping adventures. He treasured every moment with his girls and held their bond close to his heart. Professionally, David was a highly skilled and respected panel builder with more than 30 years of experience, primarily at Eaton Corporation and more recently with CLX Engineering. His colleagues described him as "an outstanding panel builder" with a "quiet, steady presence" who naturally took on the role of an informal leader, someone others turned to for guidance and calm support. David married the love of his life, Cordel, on February 6, 2009. They were true best friends who shared a beautiful bond, spending their days exploring farmer's markets and art shows, relaxing on the beach, attending concerts and sporting events, and laughing over quirky inside jokes. Together, they built a life rooted in deep love, mutual respect, and joy. David also embraced Cordel's daughter, Ashleigh, as one of his own, creating a close and loving blended family. One of David's greatest passions was his Jeep Wrangler, which he took immense pride in. Whether it was a spontaneous off-road adventure or simply cruising with the top down on a sunny day, that Jeep symbolized his love for freedom, exploration, and fun. Time with his grandchildren Everleigh, Jameson and Stevie brought David tremendous happiness. Whether attending their extracurriculars, or playing on the floor with their toys like the big kid he was, he lit up in their presence. He thought the world of them; their laughter and energy brought the biggest smile to his face until the very end.
David will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Cordel Human; his daughters, Jessica [Juston] Robinson, Marissa [Chris] Reagan, and Ashleigh Harris; his parents, Ben and Carol Human; his brother, Gordon [Shannon] Human; nieces Taylor and Payton; grandchildren Everleigh Robinson, and Jameson and Stevie Reagan; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues. We find comfort in knowing that David's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. A Celebration of David's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on July 5, 2025 at Dockside Lake Nona, 13623 Sachs Avenue, Orlando, FL 32827.
