Marvin Carlton Pierce, a cherished family man, passed away on September 28, 2025, in Ocala, Florida. Born on January 20, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, Marvin's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his passion for the great outdoors. From hunting in the northwestern territory to fishing in the Florida Keys, Marvin held the record for shooting the world's largest muskox in the 1980's. He was the son of Charles T and Helen Pierce, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and family. Though he was predeceased by both parents, his brother Taft Pierce, Ronnie Pierce Sr., nephew Ronnie Pierce Jr. Marvin's journey began in the United States, Coast Guard with his brother Ron on the USCGC COOK INLET, based in Portland, Maine. Marvin and his brothers carried on their father's business Charles, T Pierce, and sons. which later became M. Pierce Inc, which housed two successful businesses: a roofing and a pest control company. His commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction was evident in everything he did.
Marvin's life was rich with love and laughter, shared with his devoted wife, Susan Pierce, and their children Debbie Haynes (Lonny), Penny Pierce, and Brian Pierce. He was also a father figure to his bonus children who affectionately called him "FB", Shawn Kelley and Tammy Martin (Steve). He was "Papa" to his 7 grandchildren: Alexa, Ashley, Josh, Montana, and Dakota, Michael, Alex, Laura and Jamie and 4 great-grandchildren Chloe, Lil Chris, Lainey Rae, Aliyah. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, His brother Rodger (Missy) sister-in-law Fran Pierce. Known to his best friend Donnie Harris as an excellent fishing and hunting companion, Marvin had a deep appreciation for nature. He loved hunting and fishing. he found peace and solitude in the Woods and on the water.
Above all, Marvin was a caregiver at heart. He looked after his ill wife with a gentle and patient hand, a testament to his compassionate soul. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Marvin's beloved Morkie, Sugar, was a constant companion and source of joy. Together, they shared a bond that brought comfort and happiness to his daily life.
Marvin's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Yet, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire. He was a man of strength, love, and laughter, and his memory will be treasured forever. As we bid farewell to Marvin, we celebrate a life lived fully and with purpose.
