Patricia Cerrato Obituary

Patricia L. Cerrato, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 88 in Fort Myers, FL. Patricia's life was guided by her faith and her love of God. Chapters of her life included military wife, homemaker and later a successful career in real estate. She joyfully wove together family, church, and lifelong friendships, creating an extraordinary life marked by service to others-a true testimony to her faith. Patricia loved to cook, especially for others. Preparing meals was an expression of love for her. She had a green thumb, and could grow anything, and many family members have gardens full of the plants she started. She loved ceramics and created many treasures for her family to enjoy in the years to come. Patricia's legacy is one of courage, strength and traditions as her life will continue to inspire those she left behind. Born in Watertown, NY on January 16, 1936 to William and Gladys Brett, Patricia will be remembered for her greatest love story, her husband, Robert A. Cerrato who passed away on August 31, 2013, and their cherished daughters, Susan Wiles (Don), Cathy Mann-Seiple (Patrick), Judy Cerrato Williams (preceded in death), Jan Rhonehouse (Bill) and Patti Hoffmann. Her legacy of love included her love and devotion to her 13 grandchildren. Each and every grandchild could tell beautiful stories of how their very special grandma impacted their lives. Grandchildren include Steve Wiles, Sean Wiles, Brandon Wiles, Michelle Farrer (James), Melinda Noel, John Salo (Alexandria), Lindsay Lindsey (Jim), Andrew Rhonehouse (Brittany), Christopher Rhonehouse, Michelle Rhonehouse, Paul McReynolds, Alexis Hoffmann, and Brianne Hoffmann. Patricia's was known as "GRANDMA GREAT" to her 19 great grandchildren, who adored her and the family traditions she wove into their lives. Leah Wiles, Liam Wiles, Sage Wiles, Christian Wiles. Caleb Farrer, Lucas Farrer, Dylan Farrer, Micah Farrer, Kaileigh Farrer, Emaleigh Hope Farrer, Rogan Farrer, Gracie Noel Levi Salo, Isla Salo, Bailey Rhonehouse, Dylan Rhonehouse, Sadie Rhonehouse, Harley Rhonehouse, and Dean Rhonehouse and great, great granddaughter, Sparrow Farrer. Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, William Brett, and sisters Joan Duffany and Jeanne Read. Other surviving family members include brother-in-law Richard Cerrato and many special nieces and nephews including Steve Duffany (Juanita), Patty Foley, Beth Jernigan, Kathy Frears and Bill Brett. Funeral Mass will be held at St Cecilia's Catholic Church, 4532 Sunrise Dr., Fort Myers on Jan. 25, 2025, at 12:00pm followed by reception at the parish hall at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lee Memorial Park Cemetery, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, at 3pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Patricia's beloved church, St Cecilia's Catholic Church, where she was a parishioner for almost 30 years.
