I learned today that I lost one of my closest friend's, Robert Geyer. Bob and I became friend's almost 50 years ago when we both lived on Long Island. He was the kinda guy that would show up at your door with a 6-pack of Heineken during a "power outage" on the morning after a blizzard! Fun times! He helped me finish my first home renovation project in time for the birth of my son. He was honored when I chose him to be Mike 's Godfather.

In more recent years, I'd visit Bob and his wife, Lynne, during my many trips down to Florida. Living in Ormond Beach, just 10 minutes off of I-95 exit, made it very convenient for me to see my old friend, often. I'm especially glad that Laurie got to meet him as well, and listen to the crazy stories of our youth, especially the one about the time we went "fishing off the coast of Costa Rica!"

And so, "Guy-ya"... this is "Kly-ya"... signing off for now. We'll meet again, and when we do, I know you'll have a "HEINY" waiting for me! Love you, Bob. Rest in Peace my friend.
