Ronald Ratner Obituary

Ronald Barry Ratner was born in Newark, N.J., to Allan and Mildred Ratner. He graduated from Weequahic High school and served in the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife Linda, son Shawn, daughter-in-law Dara, and grandchildren Victoria and Alexander. He was an avid chess player and won many tournaments. After moving to Florida he volunteered at the Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Ocala Police Department. He was a retiree of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as a Photo Lab Specialist and he enjoyed taking pictures of family and friends. He liked going to magic shows and conventions and learning how to do some of the tricks. Committal services for Mr. Ratner will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Florida National Cemetery where he will receive full military honors.
