Lisa Carl Obituary

Lisa was a fun loving person. Everyone who met her fell in love with her! She had an amazing personality. She had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke! She loved to be silly with her family and friends. She loved to play a good game of "Darn You" when she was with her family. It was a game that her mom taught her when she was little and her mom taught her siblings, and her nieces and nephews to play with her. It was a simple game of tossing a wadded up towel to her while saying "Darn You" repeatedly while you were wadding up the towel. When she got it she would throw it back to you. It always made her grin when you grabbed a towel and started saying Darn You, because she knew what was coming! Lisa loved music of all kinds, but one of her favorite artists was Buck Owens. Lisa loved to dance especially if Buck Owens was singing. Lisa loved to go to church with her mom and family at Church On The Rock in Ithaca NY. Lisa loved going swimming and horseback riding. She enjoyed going to concerts at the fair, going to ball games, football or baseball, she didn't care. As long as she could yell it didn't matter. She also liked going shopping and out for coffee. Lisa lived in a Racker Center house for over 25 years. She also "worked" at Broom DDSO for over 20 years. Lisa made many good friends at those places. Friends who loved her and that she loved back! Lisa loved to go to family picnics and get-togethers and going to the Voorhees Family Reunion. She also loved to spend the holidays with her family whenever she could. Lisa was pre deceased by her: Father Gordon Carl Sr. (1988) Mother Sandra Green (2010) Step Father Earl Green (2004) Brother Gordon "Nugget" Carl Jr. (2009) Sister-in-Law Robin Carl (2000) Sister-in-law Cheryl Voorhees (1997) Lisa is survived by her: Brother William (Yvonne) Voorhees of LaPorte Texas Brother Donald (Nancy) Carl of Newfield NY Brother Paul (Venica) Carl of Enfield NY Sister Maria (Matt) Hughes of Ithaca NY Sister Julia (Scott) Steen of Enfield NY Sister Etta Mitchell of Morrisville NY Brother Frank (Angela) Carl of Ithaca NY 33 Nieces and Nephews 42 Great Nieces and Nephews 1 Great Great Niece and 1 Great Great Nephew Aunts, Uncle and many Cousins!

Lisa will always be in my heart. I will always remember how I would sit at her bedside and sing to her and hold her hand and how she would always light up when I walked in the room. I would also eat breakfast with her. She will forever be missed but never forgotten.
