Billie Michelle Butler

Billie Michelle Butler, 57, of Asheville, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was born January 18, 1968, to the late Bill and Katherine Brown. Mimi, as she was affectionately known, was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Lonnie Butler. She is survived by her brother, Ricky Townsend; uncle, Rex (Barbara) Ingle, and aunt Elizabeth Ingle; as well as many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. She was a faithful attendee of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she was an active participant in the Footprints Sunday School class. Mimi touched so many lives. She worked for West Buncombe Elementary School for 23 years. Her love of children and unparalleled dedication to helping them grow and learn won't soon be forgotten. She was unfailingly kind and those who had the privilege to know and love her will forever be blessed. A celebration of Mimi's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Asheville.
