Gary Donald Meadows

Gary Donald Meadows, 72, of Leicester, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Born May 12, 1952 in Buncombe Co., Gary was a son of the late Don Jefferson Meadows and Nelia Webb Meadows. Mr. Meadows was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was a very avid golfer and loved trout fishing and grouse hunting. He adored his two sons and three grandsons. He is survived by his wife, Donna Mitchell Meadows; sons, David Meadows (Whitney) and Tommy Meadows (Katy); grandsons, Brantley, Hesston and Tanner; sisters, Penny Lewis and Melodie Meadows (Ralph Redpath); and brothers, Sammy Meadows (Becky) and Jeff Meadows (Lisa). Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Bell United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ronnie Owen officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue.
