Adam Mychajliw Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Adam Thomas Mychajliw, who died tragically as an innocent victim of a vehicular accident on March 14, 2025, at the young age of 17. Adam was born on May 12, 2007, in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was just months away from graduating in the top of his class at Saguaro High School.
Adam was a young man of extraordinary talent, kindness, and ambition. A gifted student with one of the highest GPAs in his class, he approached life with curiosity, determination, and a genuine love for learning. His sharp mind was matched by his generous heart and unwavering support for his family and friends.
A dedicated athlete, Adam was an accomplished bicycle racer, cross-country runner, and avid hiker who found joy and peace on the trails and open roads. His discipline and passion extended beyond athletics-he was also a talented first-chair cellist, performing beautifully with his school's orchestra. His ability to balance academics, sports, and the arts was admired by all who knew him.
Adam's bright future was filled with promise. He applied to and was considering top-tier universities and even the US Air Force Academy to continue his education and possibly pursue a career as a pilot and be of service.
He dreamed big, worked hard, and inspired those around him with his compassion and integrity. His family deeply loved him-his father, Mark; his mother, Joan; and his younger sister, Ella, who shared an incredibly close bond with her big brother. Adam's spirit was that of a brilliant, kind-hearted, and selfless young man whose love knew no bounds.
Adam recently found happiness in his relationship with Olivia, and his family was overjoyed to see him experience young love and all the excitement of a life about to unfold. He was a loyal friend, a role model, and a source of strength to those lucky enough to be part of his life.
Though his time on this earth was far too short, Adam made a profound impact on everyone he met. He will be remembered for his sweet smile, his enormous heart, and his unwavering positivity. His family takes comfort in knowing he is shining down on them from heaven; his light and love never dimmed.
Adam is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Joan Martin Mychajliw, and his beloved sister, Ella, his beloved labrador Lucy, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Stephen and Marilyn Salaniuk Mychajliw, and Thomas and Mary Forrestal Martin. He will be missed beyond words but cherished forever in their hearts.
Rest in peace, Adam. You were loved deeply and will be missed always.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a scholarship fund established in Adam's honor at https://gofund.me/1c57242d.
