Alan Lorincz Obituary
On the evening of March 20th, 2025, in Goodyear, Arizona, Alan Joseph Lorincz passed while in the loving presence of his family. Alan leaves behind his wife of 52 years, JoAnn M. Lorincz; his children David A. Lorincz (Teri Hammer) and Bethany (Timothy) Coburn; his grandchildren Drake and Aayla; his sister Jean Barone; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Alan was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Louise Lorincz; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Josephine Laskowski; brother-in-law Ralph Barone; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Joan Hyer. Alan was born in Buffalo, New York on April 21st, 1946. It was where he attended grammar school and graduated from Riverside High School in 1965. Alan then entered the Army in April 1966; serving with the 3rd Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry in Germany, until his deployment to Vietnam. While serving there, he earned a Bronze Star and a Cross of Gallantry Medal from Vietnam, among other awards. Once returning home, he completed his Associate Degree in the Food Service Administration from Erie Community College in 1972. However, because he felt the call to continue to serve his country, Alan started to work at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, 914th Logistics Support Squadron in 1974 as a civilian and later also as a reservist. Alan, in total, served 36 years for his country. Upon Alan's retirement as a Master Sergeant in 2002, he relocated to Goodyear, Arizona with his wife. It was here where he continued to work part-time, first at Pebble Creek Golf Course; maintenance at Tuscany Club House and finally at Falcon Dunes Golf Club attached to Luke Air Force Base. It was also in Goodyear where he formed some very special friendships that he cherished. Alan's dedication to his family, friends and to his country never wavered and when diagnosed with Parkinson's and lung cancer he fought fiercely until the very end. His love and bravery will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. Alan was a true man of valor who will be missed very deeply.
