Betty Chronis

Betty Chronis, 93, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025. Betty was born and raised in the Boston, MA area where she lived most of her life, spending her later years in both Florida and Arizona. She was a loving and faithful wife to her husband of 55 years, Charles, who went home to The Lord in 2013. Betty was the daughter of Peter and Xanthippi Lagodmos, first generation immigrants from Greece. She is survived by her brother, Theodore, and was preceded in death by brothers Harry and George, and sisters Alice, Poppy and Nicki. She studied ballet for years and held several positions in the emerging computer systems industry in the Boston area prior to marrying Charles. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her 3 children Victoria Champa (Jeff Skiba), Charles Chronis II (Tracy), and Gregory Chronis (Jeannie); grandchildren Charles Chronis III (Hannah), Taylor Kaat (Justin), Alex Champa (Genoveva), Evan Chronis (Taylor), Mark Champa, Matthew Chronis (Grace), Samantha Champa, Thomas Chronis (Aleisha), and Nathaniel Chronis (Maddy); and five great grandchildren. Betty lived a full life, travelling widely and enjoying the blessings of a large circle of friends and family. She will be remembered for her strong love of The Lord and by all who were blessed to know her. Services will be held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Scottsdale, with a visitation and Trisagion service beginning at 5pm on Monday, July 7th and funeral services at 11:30am on Tuesday, July 8th.
