Elizabeth Rice Obituary

Elizabeth Marie Rice is the beloved daughter of David and Sarah Rice, a military family currently residing in Fort Lee, Virginia. Elizabeth was diagnosed prenatally with an extremely rare condition which caused a blockage in her airway. Despite the best life saving efforts of the medical team at VCU hospital in Richmond, Virginia; Elizabeth died in her daddy's arms shortly after being baptized by Army chaplain Father Guillermo Mora. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, June 23 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church with a burial service immediately following at Paradise Memorial Gardens cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her older brother David Rice V; her maternal grandparents Charles and Sally Bluhm, her paternal grandparents David and Deborah Rice III. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's name to Aid to Women Center, an organization dedicated to serving vulnerable prep-born babies and their families, at https://aidtowomencenter.org/donors.
