John Cephes Fairchild

John C. Fairchild September 9, 1957 - May 8, 2025 John C. Fairchild, 67, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. Born on September 9, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, John was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a dependable friend to many. John spent his career as a skilled electrician and worked in the construction industry for many years. Known for his strong work ethic and ability to fix anything, he was the one everyone called when something needed to be repaired. His hands were rarely still, and his heart was always open to those he loved. He had a deep passion for his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy. John was also an avid outdoorsman who found great peace in hunting and fishing. He had a lifelong love for the sport of baseball, which he shared with those closest to him. John is survived by his beloved wife, Danielle Crain; his children, Jeremy Fairchild (Crystal), Jennifer Sample (Chris), and Alexis Davis (Pete); and his grandchildren, Destinee Fairchild, Jewelian Fairchild, Austin Sample, Kaitlyn Sample, Johnathon Fairchild, and Maeson Davis. He is also survived by his sisters, Janell Whittaker and Haley Stout; his brothers, Todd Mefford, Don Howlett, Paul Howlett, and Jim Howlett; and his aunt, Caren Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father, John Kurtiss Fairchild, and his mother, Joan Howlett. John's legacy of hard work, love for family, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed Service arrangements will be announced by the family later.
