John Kriz Obituary

Scottsdale- John Joseph Kriz born on the first day of spring, March 20, 1941, in Fort Madison, Iowa, passed away at the age of 84 at Hospice of the Valley Eckstein Center on May 13, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Karen, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage, sons Ken (Karen), Dave, and daughter, Sandy Reilly (Matt), 8 grandchildren, Maddi, Matt, and Alex Kriz, Kendall Madrid (Jesus), Kaitlyn Kriz, Katie, Jack and Maggie Reilly, 2 great granddaughters Sofia and Camila Madrid, sister Marie Ventura (Tom), brothers Paul (Karen), Pete, Jim (Marti), sister-in-law Sue Ahner, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at 9:30 followed by a 10:00 Mass at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, Carefree, Arizona on June 20 followed by entombment at Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery. Donations cane be made to St. Vincent de Paul at Our Lady of Joy or Hospice of the Valley Eckstein Center.
