John William Sorce

John "Bill" William Sorce passed away peacefully in his home in Scottsdale, Arizona on September 18, 2025. Bill was born in Chicago, IL on November 20, 1946. His interest in architecture started in Austin High School. He later attended the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) and graduated with a degree in architecture. Bill worked in Chicago, Peoria, IL, Jacksonville, FL and Scottsdale, AZ. Bill had many interests. He was an avid collector of fountain pens. He enjoyed photography, motorcycling, and fly fishing. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Kathryn and his brother Tom. Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillian (nee Fox) and his son Christopher (Rachel) of Glen Ellyn, IL and his beloved grandchildren Caroline, Peter and Matthew. Bill will be greatly missed by all of his loved ones, friends and colleagues. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
