Linchie Woodward Obituary

L. Lou Woodward passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on August 6, 2025. She is now with her beloved husband Jay, whom she missed everyday. She passed exactly 11 years and 1 day later than our father, they were married for 52 years. Family was of huge importance to our mom and dad, due to them both having rough starts in life. She was very proud of her 38.5 year career at the City of Mesa in the Finance Department. Mom loved to cook and even though she was a working parent, always had time to have a hot meal for us at the end of the day. Her Texas sheet cake will be missed, nobody makes it like mom. She was a bargain hunter till her last days, and loved to hit Goodwill, 360 thrift and the Dollar Store every chance she got. She is survived by her family Rita Dyer (niece on paper – sister in life), Lisa Reid (daughter – husband Dave Reid), Jay Woodward (son – wife Tammy Woodward), John Webb (grandson – mom Lisa), Lisa Marie Gill and Connie Gill (granddaughter – mom Lisa - granddaughter-in-law Connie Gill), Preston (grandson – parents Tammy and Jay), Parker (grandson – parents Tammy and Jay), Ariya (the only great grandchild – father John Webb)
